What is Polyester Yarn ?

Polyester is a specific material and most commonly refers to a type called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a synthetic polymer made of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl ester terephthalate (DMT) combined with monoethylene glycol (MEG).

Woven and knitted fabrics from polyester thread or yarn are widely used in apparel and home furniture purposes, such as casual shirts and pants, jackets, hats, etc. Meanwhile, polyester fiber are widely used as cushion, material in pillows, and upholstery padding. Polyester fabrics has a stain-resistant ability, since polyester is a hydrophobical material, which mean it is hardly to absorb liquids.
